Is this WiFi QR code generator really free?

Yes — completely free, no sign-up, no watermark and no export limits. Posters may be used in commercial venues.

Is my WiFi password uploaded or stored anywhere?

No. The site is fully static and the QR code and poster are generated by JavaScript inside your browser, so the password is never sent to a server. Saved designs live only in this browser's localStorage and you can delete them at any time.

Why doesn't my phone connect after scanning?

Usually one of three reasons: the SSID or password has a typo (watch capitalisation); the wrong security type is selected (home routers normally need WPA/WPA2); or an older Android camera that cannot read WiFi payloads, in which case use the system scanner. On iOS the network also has to be in range and enabled.

Can I put a logo in the middle of the QR code?

Yes. Set error correction to Q or H, keep the logo under about a quarter of the code area and enable the white backing pad. Always test-scan the exported file.

Which size and DPI should I print at?

A5 or A4 at 300 DPI works well for walls and reception signs; 100×150mm suits desk tents; business-card size is handy for laminated cards. Print at 100% (no scaling) and keep the QR at least 3×3cm — bigger if people scan from far away.

Are hidden SSID networks supported?

Yes. Tick “hidden network” under Network → Advanced and the payload will include H:true, so the phone actively searches for the hidden SSID.

Can I generate a code for enterprise WPA2-EAP WiFi?

The standard WiFi QR format cannot carry full EAP credentials and support varies wildly between systems. Use the “Custom text / link” mode and point the QR code at an internal onboarding page instead.

What is the difference between the SVG and PDF export?

SVG is vector, scales without quality loss and is ideal for a designer or print shop. PDF is ready to send to a printer at the exact page size you configured. For WhatsApp or a wall poster, PNG is plenty.

Does it work offline?

Yes. There are no external scripts, so once the page has loaded the browser caches everything and you can keep generating and exporting without a connection.

Can I save a customised template and reuse it?

Yes. Name and save the current configuration under “My designs”, then load it whenever you like. You can also export it as a JSON config file and import it on another device or browser.
